Back from Florida

Well just flew back from Florida and boy are my arms tired. hardy har har.. actually I got back yesterday. Mom and I went there to get away for a few days starting on my birthday July 9th-July 13th. It was a great trip the first day we didn't to a lot cause we were tired from getting up at 4AM and flying there we went out to dinner at a place called th Boston Lobster house (or something like that) The next day we went to Universal studios all day and it was lots of fun from the cute ET ride to the to much for Mom Mummy ride it was fun.

We went to see the BlueMan group at Universal Studios and let me tell you that is a crazy show it's like nothing I've ever seen before, but it was great definitely go see it if you get the chance in Vegas or wherever. After the show we went and ate at Bubba Gumps we have that here to in MN, but thier Coconut shrimp is delicious so had to go there. The next day in Florida we went to The Beach YAY it was awesome it was a beach called Caledesi island it was literally an island we went to a place in clearwater Florida called Honey Moon Beach State Park from there we took a ferry out to the island on the way out we saw Dolphins in the water and the boat stopped so everyone could get a look so that was great here's a video kinda shaky, but cool to see


The beach itself was just gorgeous white sandy beaches and tons of shells to pick from

Also while we were there Dolphins were jumping out of the water just beyond the barriers and everyone on the beach stopped to watch it was definitely awesome to see wild dolphins. The next day we saw dolphins again only this time they were at Sea World

SeaWorld was great it's very neat to see all the animals from seal ions and Dolphins to Shamu it's great

It was an awesome trip overall I got a sun tan and some relaxation Florida is definitely a good place to visit. Next time I go though I think I'm gonna go back to the Florida Keys just because I haven't been there before. next up a trip to Kentucky for the big family reunion down at Uncle Jeffs house in September!!

Dreams

Last night I had a weird dream I actually thought it was kind of funny so I thought I'd share it with the one or two people who read my blog. Last night I dreamt that I needed a part time job (in addition to my regular job), So I got a Part time job at Mrs. Fields cookies. (wait I think I already did that in real life) anyway I got the job and in the dream to I had worked there in high school just like in real life. I have today off of work because I have to work Saturday, but in my dream I had to get up to be to Mrs. Fields today at 8:00AM so I get there and the store is not open the gate is down and no one is there now it's my first day back in over 10 years, but somehow I still have a key so I unlock the gate (it actually doesn't have a gate in real life) I digress I go in and freak out because when you open the store you have to be there 2 hours beforehand to bake all the cookies so I rush to the freezer to get the dough and there are barely any frozen cookies left and only 2 different kinds so I pulled them out and was rushing to get them in the oven. ah, but then I woke up so I don't know what happened next. hmm I wonder what this dream means anyone care to dissect it Lol just kidding.

something new

ok so I was watching TV! tonight and I saw this add of this little boy playing baseball saying I'm the greatest batter in the world. I'm the greatest batter in the world and he in fact wasn't, but after the third attempt and he didn't make it he stopped and thought for a minute and said I'm the greatest Pitcher in the world and got a big smile on his face then the message came on the screen optimism pass it on. I thought it was kinda cute, kinda odd. it said brought to you by the foundation for a better life. I was curious so I went online and looked it up. and what I found was this website full of all this positive stuff and since this is the direction I've kind of been moving in being more positive and trying to live to the fullest reading the secret listening to louise hayes kinda deal this fit right in and since there message is pass it on. I thought I would since I found this site they have so much positive stuff on there and such good messages for society in whole. as cheesy as it may be check it out maybe I'm in an odd mood or something, but I'm on the positive vibe so here's a link Foundation for a better life

Vision World

Finally a new post well really not much new to say I'm back from Vegas for a few weeks now actually and it was an interesting trip to say the least, but I won't get into to much of it the best parts of the trip were Terry Fator (the guy who won Americas got talent last summer the ventriloquist) he was very good. the last night we were there we went to see Bette Midler and she was great to see in concert. I didn't win anything while I was there, but oh well there's always next time right ;) the last day I was there I started to feel sick got home around 11:00PM on the 27th and then got up at 5AM to go to work the next day and I felt awful all day luckily I got to leave work a little early, but that night I had a temp of 102.9f it was not fun so I called in sick on Friday and laid in bed for the next 3 days. that's the sickest I've been in a really long time and now here I am 2 weeks later and I've still got a bit of a cough from it. oh and the Wednesday before we left I went to Vision World to get some new classes because for one thing my insurance is accepted there and their website says that some locations have your glasses ready in an hour. great I thought I'll go pick them out and have them by Vegas. nope didn't happen I picked out 2 pairs that I liked and they said they'll be ready in 10 days ok I was hoping for one hour, but 10 days is fairly reasonable so I go to Vegas assuming my glasses will be ready shortly after I return nope 10 days past and then 2 weeks nothing I called a couple times and they say there is a hold up at the lab finally about 2 1/2 weeks later they call and one of the 2 pairs is ready great finally so I pick them up take them home first time I go to clean them the lens almost pops out argh. I figured I would bring them back in when my other glasses came in the following Monday do you think my glasses came in the following Monday nope they came in today 3 weeks and 1 day later just went and picked them up tonight. I'm still not sure what the hold up is, but I have them now so that's all that matters , but I don't recommend Vision World at least not for speedy service anyway besides that exciting story I'm looking forward to going to see Jersey boys Next weekend and having this weekend off of work sleep is good :) well not much else to report I''ll post more when there is :)

Here's a post

well you know what it's been awhile since my last post, but really the reason I don't blog enough is because my llife isn't that exciting I work I sleep I go back to work I watch a little TV that's about it. this week I worked overtime so I was barely home at all which is stinky, but the money is nice and I'm gonna use it to pay off some bills I will be debt free and financially secure this year despite the economy I'm sticking to my guns on this and it will happen mark my words. oh also what's new I started Yoga recently and it's going pretty good I like it so far I think I'm gonna stick to it. well as I said not much else to report I'm going to Vegas in a couple weeks can't wait it's gonna be fun! well I'll blog more when I have something relatively interesting to say ;)

it's 2008!

Wow I can't believe it's 2008! time sure flies when your having fu....just living normal everyday life. 2007 was a mixed year it had some highs and some major lows and I'm glad it's over and I'm looking forward to a great 2008 I have some big plans for myself this year. that as they unfold I'll be sure to post about. as for now I'm just living life going to work and doing normal stuff been a little busy with the holidays and what not so I haven't been posting much, but I'll try to do better in the coming year.

Well it's been awhile since I've updated so I guess it was time so not a lot of things going Christmas is a week away which is crazy, but I'm pretty much done shopping and I'm ready for Christmas. This last weekend I went to Macys downtown and went and saw the 8th floor display which was the nutcracker it was a cute little display it's cheesy and mostly for kids I hadn't been to it in years it was a real blast from the past. we also saw the Holidazzle parade it was cute there were lots of floats with Christmas lights adorned on them there was a real cute one that was little kids in like a zoo train and they were all dressed in really elaborate costumes it was cute. It was freezing though, but fun. not much else to report work is well work not very exciting I could take it or leave it most days, but I guess who doesn't feel that way about their jobs? not much else to report here is a funny video of Lola trying to get into a stocking.

Happy Turkey Day Everyone. I had a good Thanksgiving the usual turkey etc,but it was good. prior to Thanksgiving last Friday we had a surprise party for my Dad he turned the big 60 he was surprised, but he figured something was going happen since this was our third surprise party of the year. oh well.

here's a post

well I was just looking at my page here and realized it probably looks like all I do is watch TV or atleast lately, but that's not true. I've been doing a lot lately I went to Virgina/DC last weekend
We went there to both vacation and to see some relatives it was a fun trip and DC is a cool city to visit I'd like to go back again some day and see a little more of course there is other places I'll probably go before I go there again, but still it will be on my list again. then the very next day after I got back I went to see Maroon 5 it was a cool concert me and Sara had a fun time

we had floor seats that was a different experience I'm used to sitting for atleast part of the concert not so when your on the main floor everyone stands so you have to also if you want to see the stage, but it was fun!
and in other news I did get my little promotion at work and my raise it wasn't quite as much as I had hoped for, but it will do for now ;) this last weekend I went up to the casino and won about $300 woo hoo go me!!! I left soon after I didn't want to risk loosing it I did end up going shopping at MOA on Saturday and another mall on Sunday, but actually I didn't spend that much at the mall so I still have some left Yay ;) well right now I'm tired so I'm gonna head off to bed, but I just wanted to give a little update on my life (to whoever may read this if anyone)

Am I wrong

Is it wrong to be excited about TV! because I am all my favorite shows start next week so I can officially be a couch potato again! oh no. well I'm going out of town on Wednesday night so I'll be a couch Potato to my TIVO when I get back I guess. I can't wait to see some of my favorite shows including. Heroes, Grey's Anatomy and The office among others. I'll try not to be to much of a couch potato, but for the first couple weeks of the season I guess I will be. Premiere week is the best TV week can't wait.


Ok Enough of my meaningless entertainment besides premiere not a lot else going on I'm going to Virginia next week with My Mom to go to DC and see some family should be fun! oh and I also may have gotten a promotion at work my boss says I probably got it, but she's not sure yet and that was on Monday I haven't heard anything yet. mind you this isn't a grand promotion that will really move me up in the company to much it's just a change of status for the kinds of mortgage calls I can get otherwise my job is absolutely the same, but it comes with a raise!!! that's the part I'm hoping for and it better be good ;)

Finally a Post!

Well it's Been over a month since my last post. so I figured It was time to make a new post A lot has gone on over the last month or so. actually. before my last post I was in California going to wine Country!

although this was a month ago I figured it deserved a mention. the main reason we went there was to Surprise my sister for her big 30! birthday! Does she look surprised to you?

I was there for about 4 days total it was a fun time. 2 days after I got back was the bridge tragedy,but I already did a post about that so I won't rehash that., but now it's August an That means State Fair time!!!one of my very favorite things to do in the summer. I actually ended up going 3 times this year. I don't usually go that often just the opportunity came about 3 times and I didn't have anything else going on so I thought what the heck. The fair is always fun so much greasy, but delicious foods good things the fair only once a year or I'd weigh 200lbs :) also another thing I like to do is see how much free crap I can get not papers ,but pens, yard stick, or whatever. well I discovered if you want to do this you have to go early or your SOL I went the first time on the 2nd day and people were handing me bags with stuff in them left and right just for walking by their booth I even got a free screw driver from a tool place a good quality one to I was pretty pleased with my haul. then I went on the Sunday of the first weekend and I got some stuff not quite as much as before, but a fair amount, but I was going to see if I could get another screw driver not because I need it just because I'm greedy ;), but they didn't have them! not a big deal because I already had one., but the last time I went was a week later I walked out of there with not one free thing. it was crazy if that had been my first time there I would have been disappointed. so next year when I go I'm gonna go the first or second day :) anyway also next I think I'm going to limit my fair trips to 2 total 3 might have been over kill not really, but I saw everything already by then. oh well I had fun all three times. in other news not a ton going on work is well work I am hopefully getting a promotion next month. Wow that sounds exciting doesn't it except it's not as much as it sounds now I'm a rep 1 and I'm going to be a rep 2 nothing at all changes about my job except I'll get a raise!! i'M Crossing my fingers. at the end of this month I'm going to be going to Virgina/DC to see some relatives with Mom. In other news I had a crazy dream last night that zombies were loose outside took me a few minutes after I woke to shake the feeling that there weren't really zombies outside lol obviously I knew there weren't, but dreams are weird. anyway the reason I had the weird dream was because I just saw a preview for the movie Resident evil no thanks besides movies made from video games are typically crap anyway. I was there seeing Superbad which by the way I highly recommend it was hilarious! a very realistic portray of high school students brought back memories.

Well I've sure rambled on a lot here I haven't blogged in awhile I guess it was pent up. ;)

35W Devastation

in case people hadn't hear there was a major bridge collapse on 35W in Minneapolis this is a road that I take myself from time to time. I can't even imagine what those people went through this has got to be one of if not the worst tragedy to happen in Minnesota at least in modern times. I was going to be going downtown tonight to a meetup at a bar that was actually near this area, but I wouldn't have had to take the bridge. I don't know if I know anyone that was on the bridge the odds are good that I at least know of someone who was on that bridge. I've heard of fatalities I pray for those people and anyone trapped and for their families. of all the times that this tragedy could occur it happened at rush hour! Its so crazy that stuff like this happens without warning. I can't even imagine the terror that these people who were on the bridge must have felt. I'm going to continue to watch the news hoping to get some more details.

Update!

Well not really an update, but I haven't been on here in awhile so I thought it was time for a new post. not a lot new is happening just working basically. oh I did sign up for a 401k a few weeks ago that's pretty impressive probably should have done that along time ago. oh well can't change the past gotta start somewhere right? Tomorrow is the fourth of July and Moms having her usual barbecue should be fun the best part is no Work!!! Yay!! I'm gonna sleep!!! this is kind of a boring post because there is not a lot going on the only thing coming up is the Nickleback/Daughtry concert at the end of the month that's something to look forward to anyway. well hmm not much else to say I'll try to think of something more interesting to talk about for my next post.

Vegas Baby!

well got back from Vegas on Sunday night and I'm still tired!, but it was an awesome trip Mom and I had a lot of fun. lost a little more money then I would have liked to (I would have preffered winning, oh well can't get everything we want I guess) We saw 3 shows there and 2 were good. We saw Mama Mia the first night and it was awesome if you get a chance to go see it do it! then Friday night we went to see the Price is right live and it kinda sucked I mean it wasn't aweful, but it wasn't great either it was just like the real show pretty much except no Bob Barker and the prizes were kind of weak. in the final show case they brought out a car and all these cool prizes and of course I'm sure everyone was thinking as I was that whoever bid closer (they had 2 contestants) would win all that stuff. um no that's not how it worked the person closest won a DVD player and if they had gotten within $100 then they would have won the car. kinda lame oh well. The last night we Saw the Producers and it was really good to really funny. I can't decide which is better Mama Mia or the Producers I think it was a tie. We also went to see Madame Tousauds Wax museum and to the top of the fake Eifle tower. it was a fun trip, but I was happy to come home the last day because I was pretty much out of money. oh well. I'm gonna go back to Vegas again sometime, but not for a long time 2 years atleast!. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Heading out tommorow for Vegas can't wait! I'm gonna win big!! (or so I tell myself) if not ohwell. not a lot has been going on lately I guess that's why I haven't blogged much lately. just working and living life. I got my first bonus at work this week and I'm expecting an even bigger one in June and July Yay!!!! can't wait $$$$ I may be able to get out of debt sooner than expected!!! Here's hoping!!. oh and I did go see All Shook up a Broadway play inspired by Elvis music. It was really good a definate fun show. tommorow night (in Vegas) we're going to go see Mamma Mia. I'm excited. well not much else to mention at the moment so wish me luck in Vegas!!!

Elvis Says Hello

Elvis Says Hello! Not a lot going on lately just working and living life. I've been reading the book the Secret it's all about the Law of attraction and how positive energy attracts positive energy I definately think there is something to that. not 100% it works quite as well as the book claims, but hey worth a shot right! No more dwelling on things that cannot be changed or things that make me mad (well I'm gonna try anyway) well anyways I'm looking forward to my trip to Vegas in 12 days or so we're going to see Mama Mia I think it should be fun before that I'm taking Mom to see "All Shook Up" for mothers day in about a week. oooh oooh and Spiderman 3 opens tommorow can't wait to see it!!

New York Trip Part 2

well I said I would write more on my New York trip so here I go. we went Wednesday to what ended up being Monday. Tuesday night I went over to Jenny's house so we could go to the airport before the butt crack of dawn and went to the Airport only to discover that oh crap our flight was cancelled!! yikes luckily they were able to get us out on another flight a flight that left at 6:25AM and this was 6:08AM so we had to wait to get through security and then practically formula and tooth paste in her carry on Great luckily it didn't take to long it was me Jenny, Jenny's Mom Linda and Jenny's daughter Katelyn who is one. we got routed through St. Louis MO I'd never been there before I get I really still haven't, but the airport was nice :) I looked for the big Arch thing as we flew in, but didn't see it aw shucks. Finally made it to New York around 1:00PM and then finally to the hotel around 3:00PM (traffic and getting luggage) didn't end up doing that much but walking around the area around the hotel. the next day it was pouring down rain and we were set to go on a bus tour we did it was wet, but we still had fun mostly stayed on the bus, but we did get off at a few stops that night think we just ate dinner and didn't do much else Friday we got back on the bus and the sun was shinning (still kinda cold though) and we hoped on and off the bus quite a bit Times Square, Ground Zero, Rockefellar Center and many more. Saturday we went to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island we also took a 90 minute boat cruise up the hudson it was really relaxing and we learned a lot about the city on there. alas we thought our trip was winding to a close we were going to head to the airport early on Sunday because of the storm (noreaster) nope that didn't happen either our flight was cancelled at 2:00AM a message was left on my cell phone. so I had to call them at 7:30AM when I woke up and got the message. No flights out today they said so I had to book a flight out Monday morning. so I tried to rebook our hotel room for that night only to be told they didn't have any rooms left because of a group coming in. Luckily I was able to find a hotel a few blocks away which actually ended up being cheaper and really close to times square the only problem was we couldn't get in until 3 they did let us put our luggage there though so we walked around times square some more and got completely drenched because it was down pouring like crazy we finally decided we were going to go sit in the hotel Lobby and stare at the front desk agents until the found us a room it only took about 20 minutes and the room was a lot nicer then our other one was kind of wish we could have stayed at that hotel the whole time. We actually didn't get to stay there long we had to get up and go to the airport at 2:00AM!!, but it was nice to atleast get a few hours sleep there. finally made it back safe and sound to my house at 12:00PM I came back with a bunch of souvenirs and a cold and I was exhausted, but it was really fun I'm definately going back to New York again sometime

Back from outerspace!

back from New york City and what a crazy weekend it was. It was raining half the time, but we got a lot of sites in we took a bus tour a hop on hop off tour so we were able to go to Times Square, Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero and all kinds of places I'm really tired now and may be coming down with a slight cold, but other than that it was a fun trip. We got stuck there an extra day and had to switch hotels we mved from one best western to another. our flight got cancelled because of a noreaster storm (big storm) well I'm pretty tired now, but I'll write more about my trip later. meanwhile here are a few pictures.

Taxes are done!!

finished my taxes today!! Yay!! Not yay taxes ,but Yay they are done I thought I was going to have to pay a ton because I was on unemployment and opted not to pay taxes well turns out I would have had a big refund from my 2 jobs so luckily that balanced out the unemployment income so now I'm actually getting like $100 back from federal (I'll take it atleast I don't have to pay) well I do have to pay $4.00 to the state, but I think I can handle that. In other news finally got the money from my totalled car and I'm using the money to pay off credit cards since the interest on those is higher than the interest on the new car loan so it all balances out. feels good to be paying off credit card debt ahhh I can breathe a slight sigh of relief. I see an end to the debt nightmare (not real soon, but I see it coming). Anywho besides all this super exciting financial information not a ton is going on I got a new Camera a Sony Cybershot it's super cool and will come in handy on my Trip to New York in a week and a half.

New Car

Finally got my new car I have yet to get my check for my old car, but hopefully it comes soon. in the mean time I'm now a new owner of a 2006 Hyundai Sonata yay! It has a sun roof yay!!!

Surprise Surprise!!

We pulled it off we succeeded in surprising Mom for her 60th Birthday. hehe her brother and sister and brother-in-law flew in from out of town as well as My sister and her husband. She was totally surprised. after several weeks of planning and scheming we pulled it off yay! Paula and her friend Tameesha did a really nice dinner. Overall it was a really fun night.

Car Shopping

Car shopping is tricky I'm not sure what Kind of car I want everyone I talk to has a different opinion as to what's a good car. Get a Hyundai, get a Kia, get a Honda. well sure, but what kind I'm not sure what kind of car I want basically just one that has good gas mileage, power locks and windows etc.. etc.. well I guess it will be a long weekend of car shopping! it's not a fun as it should be kind of a pain in the butt.

Snow Day!

Crazy Crazy Minnesota Weather!!!

What a day what a day first the accident and now this. Snow snow and more snow this is record breaking snow and it's not done yet it's just gonna keep coming and coming all night. I dont think I'll be going to work tommorow. the place might even be closed theres no way I'm getting out of the driveway as long as it looks like this.

Crazy Day I hope I don't get hassled for staying home tommorow or today I didn't really want to use my PTO today didn't really have a choice the icy weather had another plan. This is just craziness.

What a Beautiful Morning

SO I start out my day like normal I got up early because of the inpending snow fall I debated over whether or not I should go to work or not since the roads would most likely be bad., but I'm a good little worker so I decided to go to work and what happens as I'm crossing over the bridge on 55 into Minneapolis I hit a patch of ice and did a 360 spin and hit the wall twice and my car looks something like this now

Of course not exactly like that since that's not my car, but not far off luckily I didn't hit any other cars and I didn't get hurt so I guess that's all that matters, but man Car accidents suck!! Dad came to my rescue and called the tow truck and everything I called in to work since I obviously couldn't drive there I took a sick day. the weather here sucks today we are expecting up to 18inches of snow suck suck this is the worst snow storm we've had in years we'll see how it is tommorow morning I might call in then to . oh well I needed a new car anyway, but now I have to deal with all this crap ugh oh well.

What's new?

Well not a lot is new just working and right now I'm watching the Amazing Race which by the way started a half hour late! silly thing cause of some golf thing that was on early oh well not a lot going on as I said I'm going to New york in April for a 5 days which should be fun I'm looking forward to it. Some other small projects in the work business and otherwise. I'm trying really hard to get out of debt and finally feel like I'm making some progress I think I'm going to look into some kind of debt consolidation loan which will hopefully save me a lot in interest hopefully I get approved. I'm trying to get out of debt so I can buy a town house Im hoping at the end of the year maybe a bit unrealistic, but I'm hopeful. I went to look at some townhouses this weekend not because I'm anywhere near ready at the moment, but more because It's just kind of fun to look and pretend and Imagine the possibilities.. I think the rest of this year is going to be good I just feel it. well I'm gonna go watch more amazing race. tah tah for now.

back to basics

well not really back to basics, but life is settling down back to "Normal" or whatever that means came back from Ohio on Tuesday from a crazy/sad week in Ohio We got the Sad call on 1/24 that Grandpa had slipped into a coma and was fading fast that was around 3:45AM central time. after we got the call I just kind of laid in bed for a while until my alarm clock went off at 5:00AM and went and took a shower pretty much knowing I wouldn't be going to work that day, but just going through the motions I guess ultimately it was no decision to decide to go with Mom and Dad to Ohio I called into work for Wednesday and Thursday having already had Friday off. luckily they gave me 5 bereavement days which is sweet except I wish they had been for a different reason. anyway We started packing and getting ready to leave I had to run out to Walmart to get fish food (vacation fish food) and Dad brought Elvis (the cat) to the Vet to be boarded. While I was gone Mom got the call from Jack that Grandpa had passed Grandpa left this world at around 7:30AM Central time. with this very heavy and sad news we headed out to Ohio to attend the Funeral and attend to things. I drove up until Chicago and Dad drove the rest of the way 13 hours later we were in Ohio and exhausted especially Mom who had only come home for a few days and had just arrived home Monday from Ohio and was supposed to go back Thursday with Me. The days of the trip are kind of a blur Thursday we went to the funeral home and saw Grandpa I wasn't sure I wanted to see him like that, but i went behind the curtain and glanced at him and immediately left the room I couldn't do it I didn't want to see him like that. Thursday night Ruth and Jason Arrived in town and I guess stayed at a horrible hotel in down town Columbus the rest of the time they stayed at the Comfort Suites with everyone else. I can't even really remember what happened Friday more running around and then Friday Night Matt and Paula Flew in. Saturday Shopping for something to wear to the funeral. and Sunday was the viewing.

a lot of people attended which was nice to see a lot of people and companies that people worked for sent flowers.

and Sunday night we had a get together with many relatives and a few of Grandpa's Friends at the hotel.

Grandpa was Catholic so Monday there was a Mass at his Church which I guess a lot of people for a Monday Morning attended and there was nice lunch afterwards that the church prepared after the lunch everyone started heading back to thier homes all over the country. We left the next morning at about 6:00AM Eastern Time 4 of those lovely plants and all along with a bunch of other crap the car was stuffed (not to mention 2 little doggies). So anyway not to rant on to much more here it was a crazy week going back to work on Wednesday was ok I was so tired though and still kind of am. I'm so glad that, that week is over with Sad to say good bye to Grandpa, but glad things can settle down now hopefully for a long time. so Goodbye Grandpa I'll miss you and Love you forever. and Goodbye to Ohio I don't think I'll be back there any time soon after 25 plus years of regular visits.

2007 is Here

Well it's 2007 now and the year isn't starting off to hot it looks like Grandpa does not have very much time left at all so the whole family will probably be heading there sometime in the next week or so. Other than this sad news I guess not a lot else is going on just working and trying to figure out how to get myself out of debt. I'll have a more lengthy post next time didn't feel much like posting to much today.

So Long 2006 Hello 2007!

Bring on 2007! 2006 was an interesting year not the worst year of all time, but kind of a sucky year overall. I'm hoping for a much better 2007. The first half of 2006 wasn't to bad kinda boring just working and stuff here's a break down of the highlights (and Lowlights) of 2006 for me personally.

1. January-April Not a lot just working mostly
2. May- Laid off from RadioShack
3. May-October- Unemployed
4. August-September- Online Classes at NHCC
5. September- Babe Died
6. October- Started a New Job
7. November- Bud Died


Of couse a lot of other things happened good and bad those are just the major things that stick out and I'm happy to say good bye to them and I look forward to 2007 and hope for good things for myself and family and Friends. so bring on 2007.

Long time no post

Wow it's been awhile since I posted almost a month geesh!. Now it's Christmas time and I can't believe that Christmas is this weekend I'll be flying out to Ohio for the Weekend to visit Grandpa it should be a nice trip nice to see Grandpa anyway otherwise it may be kind of an odd Christmas because everyone will be in hotels so whatever though. I finished my Christmas shopping so I am happy about that the only thing I need to do is get the presents to everyone it's hard to get together with people sometimes this time of year so some people may end up getting thier gifts after Christmas. oh well though better late then never right!? I finally finished my classes Monday night actually I didn't do so hot in 2 of them that's because I didn't dedicate enough time to them it's tough working fulltime and taking online classes fulltime it's a lot of work I'll tell ya! I'm just glad I'm done I'm not taking anymore classes in the spring because I'm not sure what I'll want to go for should I decide to go again. Work is going good taking calls in a call center is different, but it's ok it'll do! getting up at 5AM to be to work ontime is a challenge though it's taking some getting used to I'm hoping eventually it won't be that big of a deal. Well not a lot else is going on Just working and getting ready for Christmas and going to Ohio.

Can't believe it's the holiday season

I can't believe Thanksgiving is this Thursday it seems like Summer was just here and I was unemployed and had 3 cats. lnow it's the holiday season I am once again employed and I only have 1 cat. umm ok enough debby downer. My new job is going pretty good this is my last week of training and then I go out on the floor and take phone calls starting next monday. unfortunately I have to work the day after Thanksgiving which sucks, but hey atleast I have a job now so I shouldn't complain. I am so ready to be done with my training 5 weeks sitting in a classroom for 8 hours a day learning about Mortgages (not as thrilling as it sounds) it's a lot of info and long days. I have taken calls already and they've all gone pretty good so far so work is good. and I got a new laptop which I am typing on now yay!! :) not a lot else is going on I have a few more weeks of classes and I'll be done with that other than all this not a lot else is going on. I'll be heading out to Ohio for Christmas for a short visit. so yeah not a lot else is new. but thought I'd post an update.

RIP Sweet Bud March 5th 1993-November 7th 2006

Sweet Buddy Left us tonight he had apparently a tumor in his nasal cavatie and he stopped eating sometime last week. he put a galant effort to fight this off, but in the end his poor little body shrunk down to nearly 4 pounds from a normally robust 12lbs so he was put to sleep tonight around 5:30PM he will be really missed by me, the rest of my family and especially Elvis! his BFF. Rest in Peace Sweet Bud. I will never forget you I'll love you forever.

I wrote a really long post about my new job and what I've been up to lately and it didn't post for some reason or save and now I have to go to bed so I'm not gonna retype it now I'll post more later. ugh stupid internet sometimes arrrr.....

Finally!!

Well 5 months and tons of interviews later I finally have a new job. granted it's not my dream job, but it's a job!! it pays more than my last job and I think it has better benefits. I'm going to be working as basically a phone banker a mortgage phone banker to be exact. The job starts in 2 weeks so that means I should probably do all the things I've been procrastinating to do that I wanted to do while I was unemployed like scan photos and clean out under my bed etc.. etc.. probably won't get to everything, but oh well I'm also gonna try and get ahead with my school work so I won't have to worry about that for awhile. Well anyway that's what's new with me besides this big news not a lot else is going on I'm really excited to finally have a job and I'll have atleast a half way decent paycheck coming in and now I'm gonna really work on getting out of debt. yay things are looking up.

Interviews!!!!

Ok what's the deal I've been on about a million Interviews in the last Month and Nothing I don't quite understand what I'm doing wrong. you'd think out of all these places I'm inteviewing I would get atleast one "decent" job offer, but no I went on an interview yesterday with a bank for a call center job and it was the stupidest inteview I've ever been on they had me do a sales pitch for a pen I guess to see how well I sell things didn't really think it was a sales job, but I guess it was I wasn't expecting to have to do a sales pitch so I was a little thrown off by that and didn't do very well so that interview was a bust. beside the snooty lady I interviewed with said she would let me know today (thursday) and I heard nothing so whatever. the other company that was doing a background check on me I haven't heard anything from them since Monday and I'm starting to think I'm not gonna. It's so frustrating I need a frickin job I never in a million years would have thought I'd be unemployed this long. well I may have to go get some crappy retail job again if I don't hear something soon. I guess that's all I'm qualified for or something (AHHHH!) The other company that said they would call me for a second interview I never heard from them either. maybe I need to go to an interview training class or something it's funny in the past I've been lucky (er unlucky whichever way you look at it) Before this I think there were only 3 interviews that I had been on since I was 16 years old that I didn't get the job all the other ones I did. Argh!!!!! I hope there are some good jobs in the paper this weekend. I'll keep ya posted.

Sigh

so I've been going on a bunch of interviews lately and I don't know what to think of any of them. I hate interviews especially the stupid questions! What are your Weaknesses? Well my Weaknesses are that I don't like to work and I have to to have money. err maybe that's not a good answer could be the reason I don't have a job yet ;) only kidding of course. I've interviewed with I think 4 different companies I went on 2 interviews for the first company in the same day and actually could have had that job except for the fact that it was a parttime cart pusher at a wholesale store (not the job I applied for) so that was a bust. I had one interview with the second company and got a rejection e-mail today that was at a telecommunication company guess I didn't make a very good impression. Then with the 3rd company I've had 3 interviews on 2 different days and they are doing a background check on me now so I guess that's a good sign. I Interviewed with the 4th company yesterday and I think it went ok the lady said they would call me next week to set up a second interview. and I have a phone interview on Monday. so hopefully with all this interviewing I will hear something before my unemployment runs out yikes!. besides all this I'm still going to school and last week I did crappy cause I wasn't into it I think cause of Babe you know having that happen to Babe and happen so suddenly kinda makes you realize just how fragile life is one day you can be here and the next day gone true for people and animals. so you gotta learn how to appreciate life and the people and animals in your life. granted I'm not an expert on this ,but I'm learning. So yeah this is what's going on with me I'm looking forward to the weekend and taking a break from all these silly interviews ugh.

Babe April 1999- September 12th 2006

Last night I noticed Babe was breathing really heavy and she wasn't eating. This morning she was even worse she could barely move so I took her over to the vet and they did an X-Ray to see what was wrong and what they found was an enlarged Kidney and fluid in her lungs and on her abdomen. The vet said the kindess thing to do for her was to put her to sleep. so with a very heavy heart I agreed to have it done. Babe wasn't always the sweetest cat, but I know she loved me and I loved her. she will be sadly missed. Rest in Peace Sweet Babe. I'll never forget you!!!

Interviews Finally

Well I finally had some interviews this week 2 of them. they both went pretty good I think. The first one wasn't what I thought it was so I don't actually want that job it's part time and I applied for full time and the position it's self was not what I applied for I thought I was applying for administrative work and it turned out to be unloading trucks and basically a cart pusher ummm.. no don't think I want that job the other one was for a normal job and actually sounds like a good opportunity I hope I get it!!! well other than this I don't really have a lot going schools going pretty good. I went to the Rennaisance festival today and it was OK not really worth the trip this year I've been there in the past and thought it was fun. this year I didn't even see any fun things I wanted to buy in the past I'd atleast seen that, but not this year plus it was kinda cold today so I suppose that didn't help. oh well though it was something to do I guess.

Hello

Well I started School back on the 21st I have 3 Online classes and they are a lot of work I'm kinda glad I don't have a job this first week just so I can get a hang of these classes, but they're good they're kinda fun and interesting I have one more class that starts in October. so wish me luck with those. on the Job front I hopefully have 2 good prospects I don't really want to talk about them til I hear more, but cross your fingers for me :) and if they don't pan out which I hope they will, but if they dont' something good is going to come along very soon I have a feeling. I don't think I'm gonna be unemployed much longer. In other news not a lot going on I went to the State Fair last Saturday it was a lot of fun as it always is and I went to the Mall of America right after with my friends Trisha and Jenny and that was fun to I actually went on rides at the amusement park at MOA I only did it because I had free tickets I went on the Ferris Wheel and The something Twister. it's a roller coaster that spins you around the whole time. yeah not gonna go on that one again I was so dizzy after that. personally that's not a fun feeling for me :) So that's what's going on with me I may go to the fair again this coming Saturday cause it's so fun and it only comes around once a year! nothing more to report.

American Idol is cool dammit

Can you see that? umm not really, but that's my picture from last night I went to the American Idol concert with my Mom (I'll admit I'm a nerd I like AI and I go to the concerts) it was a good show the first half was the lesser idols, but none of them were that bad the only one that was annoying was ACE the Douche bag sorry he's just not my cup o tea. The second half was really fun because Chris, Elliot and Taylor sang oh and Katherine McPhee who only sang 2 songs. Chris rocked the house everyone was screaming he may have been the most popular one there and Elliot was good as usual and Taylor came from down an Aisle on the side that Aisle was the one Mom and I were sitting in and we were in seats one and two so he walked right past us singing if I had known he was gonna do that I would've got my camera phone out sooner and snapped a photo well I did snap a photo, but it's the blurry one I posted here as he was walking on to the main level. I guess if people had known then it wouldn't have been a surprise ;) that's the closest I think I've ever been to even a quasi celebrity pretty cool maybe that Albino squirrel from the other day is lucky :) ok I'm starting to sound like a big nerd now so I'm gonna stop talking about AI. in other news I started School on Monday I have 3 online Classes so it's a little different all I did to start school was log onto the school website :) pretty cool hope I do well. No new job yet, but I've been applying to a lot more jobs lately so pretty soon I hope. wish me luck.

Lucky The Albino Squirrel

This is my new pet! well sort of I think this is an Albino Squirrel although it kind of looks like a mouse to, but based on the tail and the way it's back legs which you can't see in this picture I'm guessing squirrel I don't think I've seen a squirrel period since I moved to Maple Grove until this one definately something you don't see every day. it was kind of wierd I noticed it outside the front door while I was walking down the stairs at first I thought it was Lola because I just saw the white real quick and I was like what's she doing outside then of course I saw Lola behind me on the stairs :) and I went to see what it was and I noticed the bushy tail so I ran back upstairs and grabbed my camera and went ouside hoping to get a picture funny thing was the squirrel wasn't very smart because it just ran behind th air condition vent and sat there in plain view I think it thought I couldn't see it, but I took a bunch of pictures of it. this happened a few days ago and I haven't seen the squirrel since I'm hoping he found a nice safe place to live and not the alternative ..ah..hem.. there are a lot of Hawks around here, but we'll pretend that that is not a possibility. anyway I think I'll call him(or her) Lucky. Lucky the Albino Squirrel.

Back on Solid Ground

I'm Back! and I'm so glad to be mainly because flying isn't my favorite thing anyway and then to be at threat level Orange the whole time. yikes, but it actually wasn't to bad we didn't carry any liquids and took off our shoes so we (my Mom and I) got through security fairly quickly both ways. the trip it's self was both fun and not fun mostly fun though. we came in Friday night and went to our Hotel where we went and saw my Uncle Bill and Cousin Naja and Aunt Barb. My sister and Jason picked us up in thier rental car and we all went to see the relatives at the hotel. Naja was a bundle of energy climbing all over everyone that night (she's not shy) she's 3. on Saturday we went to Waffle House for breakfast and then over to see Grandpa for a bit and then off to the Ohio State Food Court errr.. State Fair which by the way is not a cool as the Minnesota State Fair ;) not a lot to it. it's a lot smaller than Minnesota's and there were just a lot of food and different food than we have here nothing looked that appealing though. (side note about Blogger I didn't realize this, but you can only post a certain amount of pictures on here I didn't realize this turns out I've already reached my limit :( so I'm gonna have to see what I can do about this) After the fair we went to a place called Uno's for dinner I had Shrimp Scampi that "was not good" no flavor it tasted like I was eating just butter and noodles yuck! Sunday we mostly just hung out at Grandpa's and the hotel we also took some family photos. Monday we took Ruth and Jason to the Airport and then hung out at Grandpa's again for a little bit and then My Mom, Uncle Bill, Cousin Naja, Aunt Barb and I went to the Columbus Zoo. it was pretty cool because my Uncle Bill used to work in Zoo's so he knows a lot of people in the industry so one of his friends there at the Columbus zoo let us go into the Koala exhibit (inside the cage) and see the Koalas and snap photos it was pretty cool not something the average person gets to do everyday. after that we went over to see the Lorikeets they had an exhibit where you could go into the enclosure with the birds and feed them a kind of sugar water thing. After that we just looked around the zoo and tried to avoid the rain that kept coming and going all day long, but inspite of the rain it was a cool trip to the zoo I hadn't been to the zoo in years so it was fun. After the Zoo we went back to Grandpa's for dinner, but everyone was a little bit on the crabby side (sorry) ,but we all got some food and Panera and everyone calmed down a bit. After hanging out at Grandpa's a bit more we went back to the hotel and packed for our trip home and said good bye to Barb, Bill and Naja. We got up at the ButtCrack of Dawn to get ready and leave for the Airport as I said the security wasn't bad there was kind of a line, but it didn't take to long to get through it though. Now I'm home and I am so happy to be on solid ground! I don't think I'll be flying for a while now until things calm down a bit with the Airports and all. Now that I'm home it's time to get back on the job search wish me luck!

Off to Ohio

Off to Ohio for a long weekend starting tommorow. I'm excited to see everyone kind of a mini family reunion mini since everyone won't be there, but a lot will. other than this not a heck of a lot going on with me I'm still plugging away at the job search and I'm working on a potential side business a little bit. My friend Jenny came over yesterday with her cute baby so that was fun . other than this not a lot going on. I'll be sure to post more when I get back from my trip.
